Mac vs. PC: Advantages and Disadvantages

The raging debate between what is better. The Mac or the PC. People categorize themselves like one would categorize themselves as a “dog person” or a “cat person” people are “Mac users” or “pc users” both equally devoted to the supremacy of their computer of choice. The infamous Mac vs. Pc advertisements are show of that, with the well-dressed and handsome Mac poking fun at the chubby and glasses-wearing PC. The Market research firm called IDC reported a 16% increase in Apple’s sales in 2006, while the PC producer Dell only hat an increase of around 7%- though the PC is still most popular world wide. Anyone with a basic knowledge of computers will realize that if you were to open up both a Mac and a pc they would be made up of all the same parts, fans, hard drives, and computer chips. So what is it that makes a PC lovers love the PC, and what makes a Mac lover love a Mac? What are the pros and cons and the significant differences of the two “personal computers”?

Disadvantages:

-Speed (unless customized)

-Security (unless customized)

-Poor graphics (unless customized)

-Few media aspects (unless purchased)

-Poor user support
